How about asking a question on some odd thing.. maybe like writing to Dear Abby, or another columnists and getting thoughtful answers from real people who know a few things or more about a given field?
Go to quora.com. Google seems to index Yahoo.answers which has occasionally answered a few things for me, but Quora has found an attractive format that brings out more educated folks able to express themselves nicely.
You can find good answers to what skills you HR wants for a given job, how to put on makeup correctly, or why people in communist countries don’t revolt, with thoughtful answers and discussions.
